Dawn Gray Moraga, artist and founder of Reddawn Designs, has been capturing the beauty of the Outer Banks, NC, through her paintings since 2004.  She moved here out of college and fell in love with the energy and community that this small strip of land offered.

She is part of the large surf community that makes of the Outer Banks.  You may notice that she paints a lot of pelicans, which are one of her favorite animals to watch as she sits out in the ocean.  Her abstract wavescapes are know for their wild colors and dripping paint.  Her unique style is one of coastal modern impressionism.  She has her work in many galleries, shops, and restaurants from Nags Head to Duck.

Dawn loves meeting new customers and creating custom pieces to fill their homes with a part of the Outer Banks.  She lives in Kitty Hawk with her husband, daughter, and a big red dog.  Her studio is also at her home and she encourages visitors to drop by and take a peek.
