Harry Meraklis
Harry Meraklis a.k.a. “HarryFish” first made the trip from Pittsburgh, PA to the Outer Banks with his dad Sam (a fantatical fisherman in his own right), mother Helen and sister Angela as a wee lad of three years old. He has been hooked since that time on the beauty and majesty that the area has to offer. Harry attended California University of Pennsylvania earning a Bachelor of Science in Graphics Communications Technology (printing) with a minor in the Fine Arts dabbling in Jewelry Making, Ceramics and Print Making. Harry moved to an area somewhere between Lancaster and Philadelphia, PA after college and spent most of the next 30 years running his own graphic design/printing business. Now living in Kitty Hawk, NC with his wife Eileen, Harry spends his spare time fishing, walking the beach and oh yes hand carving and hand painting his one-of-a-kind “fish art”. Mother Nature provides more than an ample amount of inspiration on this incredible barrier island that’s know to most as OBX.
